now presenting the biggest commitment to writing i've made all year! i could write a lot about how i've been wanting to do some long-form stuff like this for a while, but i need to save my 'write a lot' energy for, well, the thing itself. this project is live with a brief introduction and the first episode covered, and i don't intend to update the microblog for every single episode, so remember to check in roughly every other day to see how i'm doing with it.

and that makes this the second test! i'm trying out different sizes for the scrolling window. honestly i'm not sure if i'm satisfied with this method of doing it, with the overflow function... but it might have to do for now. i definitely don't want every entry forever clogging up the space, so at some point there will be a cut-off at the bottom, and some kind of page that stores everything i've ever put in this silly box. i imagine that cut-off will be like, some combination of time since posting and amount of posts, depending on what needs to be done.

the first test of the right-hand "Fun Bar" scrolling box. there's a lot of work to be done, but this is a feature i feel pretty strongly about. i have described it, both to myself and in conversation, as "tw*tter, but if only i was on it." i need to figure out a cool term for what exactly i'm calling these. micro-blogs for now. this will also be where site updates go - there will probably be a generalized sort of "what's new" on the front page, but i'll use this just to sort of notify within the site itself when i've made adjustments, or leave hints for secret pages.
